Greene County Iowa Historical Society
Founded on May 1, 1960
With our programming, museum and special events, we not only preserve the history of our county in west central Iowa, we make it come alive again!
Our Greene County Historical Museum is located at 219 East Lincoln Way in Jefferson, and our mailing address is P.O. Box 435 with a Zip code of 50129. Museum hours are on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, from May 1 through October, and by appointment at (515) 386-8544. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
The president of the historical society is David John, of Jefferson.
